Pastor Lorenzo Sewell To Appear On Next Steps Forward With Dr. Chris Meek For 200th Show On December 3

Stamford, Connecticut Dec 4, 2024 (Issuewire.com) - Pastor Lorenzo Sewell, senior pastor at 180 Church in Detroit, Mich., will appear on the VoiceAmerica Talk Radio Network podcast Next Steps Forward with Dr. Chris Meek today. Premiering in August 2020, this installment of Next Steps Forward will mark the programs 200th episode.

I specifically invited Pastor Lorenzo Sewell to be the guest for the 200th episode celebration of Next Steps Forward after seeing him on a news segment where he discussed his focus on the topics of faith, politics, human trafficking, race and mental health, said program host Dr. Chris Meek. Pastor Sewell was born and raised in Detroit, Mich. where he grew up in a physically and verbally abusive home. During high school, his father went to prison and his younger brother was killed. As a result, he became heavily involved in drugs and drug-dealing, ultimately becoming a gang leader in East Detroit. Though his life started out rough, God had great plans for him. On April 18th, 1999, during his senior year at Fraser High School, he had a Damascus Road encounter with Christ that set his heart on fire. In January 2019, he became the Lead Servant of Evangel Ministries in Detroit, a thriving urban congregation with a heart for gospel-centered service and discipleship. He came to Evangel from Woodside Bible Church, where he was the lead pastor of the Pontiac Campus. He also served as the director of the Dream Center of Pontiac.
