This North Palm Beach-based nonprofit will host its seventh annual Freedom 4 Miler on July 4th in Tequesta, rallying the community to stand shoulder-to-shoulder in support of Gold Star Families. Every dollar raised will be dedicated to ensuring 2,500 Gold Star Children in the charity's care receive Christmas gifts this December.
Founded by the unstoppable Lyette Reback in 2015, Believe With Me is on a mission to empower Gold Star Familiesthose brave children, spouses, and parents left behind after the ultimate sacrifice. While we drive various fundraising projects year-round, our flagship eventthe Freedom 4 Mileris where we shine brightest. For seven years, this race has made waves in Tequesta, Florida, and now, thanks to our growing network of supporters and connection with 25 local Gold Star Families in Tampa Bay, we're hosting our third annual Freedom 4 Miler in the Tampa area at Al Lopez Park on June 28th.
Get ready for a Christmas in July extravaganza! Participants can contribute by signing up to run, with all proceeds fueling the Gold Star Christmas project, or by bringing new, unwrapped toys on race day. The Freedom 4 Miler will kick off at Constitution Park on Thursday, July 4, at 7 a.m. Each mile will honor a fallen soldier, featuring a flag-lined course, personal memorabilia, and flag runners paying tribute to our heroes, all with their families cheering from the sidelines. And for the little ones, there is a Lil Patriots 1-Miler Run for kids 12 and under and the Tiny Cadet Cupcake Dash for children five and under, complete with sweet treats and a snowball fight celebration!
